Flat car battery

If you attempt to turn your car on and it does not start, the battery may be dead. A dead battery is one that lacks enough power to enable the engine to run correctly. This can be very frustrating. How do you know whether the battery is the issue or if something else is amiss with the vehicle? One hint is that you may hear a clicking noise when you insert the key. And if the dashboard lights are very dim, that’s another sign. If so, you may want to check the battery. Fortunately, depending on what’s wrong with the TOKUSHIMA battery, there are a few methods that can help to fix this.

Check Battery Age: It’s also smart to check your battery’s age. Most cheap car batteries have a life expectancy of 3 to 5 years. It should also be fully charged (you can check its voltage using a voltmeter; you want to see 12 volts (12V) ideally). If you don’t know how to do this, just take your battery to a mechanic for a check-up.

Long Periods of Inactivity: Use your car, try not to keep it unused for a long period If your car doesn't move for too long, the battery can go dead. If you know you’re not going to be using your car for more than a week, consider using a trickle charger to keep your battery charged, or take the battery out (if possible).

Check the Alternator: Finally, ensure your car’s alternator is functioning properly. When the engine is running, the alternator recharges the battery. If you start seeing warning lights on your dashboard or hearing unusual sounds coming from the engine, it’s a smart idea to get a mechanic to examine it right away.
