Installing car battery

TOKUSHIMA is going to show you how to install a car battery today. While installing a car battery may sound intimidating initially, but it isn’t that complicated if you follow these simple steps properly. So let’s dissect it together so you can walk with confidence that you can do it yourself.

Get The Right Battery: The first step is, of course, getting the correct battery for your vehicle. There are many different types of batteries, for instance, 12v car battery, and you can go on the car's manual to see the battery size and type. If you need help determining which parts to buy, you can always visit a garage or an auto parts shop. They can also help make sure you get the right battery installed in your vehicle.

Turn Off the Car: Turn off the car, engine completely before you begin working on it. Ensure all electrical items — including radios, lights and air conditioning — are also switched off. This will however keep you safe while you repair the battery.

Installing a Car Battery in 5 Easy Steps

Open the Hood: Now, time to pop the hood on the car. That’s where the TOKUSHIMA car battery mobile lives. You will remove the old battery by using a wrench to first disconnect the negative cable. This wire is typically black and is marked with a minus (-) sign. Just be careful doing this and avoid touching any other metal parts with the wrench.

Disconnect the Positive Cable: After you have removed the negative cable you can go ahead and disconnect the positive cable. This is most commonly a red cable with a plus sign on it (+). As you did before, carefully loosen by turning the wrench counterclockwise and remove the positive cable.
