The function of JOZOKING solar charge controller:
1.Regulate Charging Voltage and Current:
● Ensure that the battery is charged according to the optimal and safe charging curve (constant current, constant voltage, floating charge) to prevent overcharging and undercharging.
2.Matching Voltage:
● Acts as an "adapter" between the PV panel output voltage and the battery's required charging voltage.
3.Implementing MPPT or PWM
● MPPT controller: The most efficient type, which can dynamically track the maximum power point of the photovoltaic panel, convert excess voltage into current, and maximize charging efficiency. It is especially suitable for situations where the system voltage is high or the difference between the photovoltaic panel voltage and the battery voltage is large.
● PWM controller: The working principle is similar to a fast switch, which "pulls down" the photovoltaic panel voltage to close to the battery voltage for charging. It is less efficient than MPPT, but the cost is lower. It is suitable for small systems or situations where the photovoltaic panel voltage is close to the battery voltage (for example, a 12V panel charges a 12V battery).
4. Prevent Reverse Current
● The circuit is automatically disconnected at night to prevent the battery from discharging to the photovoltaic panel.
